    Lack of spatial soil data in digital form has been a primary obstacle in establishing European policies on land use and environmental protection. Abundant data on soil characteristics exist in Finland but have been scattered among various sources, making it difficult for authorities to make country-wide presentations and predictions.The objective of the project was to create georeferenced soil map and database according to the instructions of the European Soil Bureau using data from existing databases and collecting some new data. The basis of the work was a geological map of quaternary deposits, which describes the soil at a depth of 1 metrem (parent material) according to the Finnish classification based on the concentration of organic matter and the texture of mineral material. Primary research topics included generalization methodology of soil polygons with GIS technology, calculation of soil characteristics needed in the database and computerizing the existing non-digital soil information. It was proved that aerial geophysics can be used for separation of shallow peats from deep peat soils and muddy soils and other wet areas can be identified. Soil names according to the FAO/Unesco system and the World Reference Base for Soil Resources (WRB-2014) were derived from the soil names of the Finnish soil classification system and geophysical data. Soilscape (Soil Mapping Units) of Finland with WRB-2014 soil classification, intented to be used in European scale e.g to delineate risk areas mentioned in soil framework directive proposal.

    Aineisto sisältää maankäyttö- ja rakennuslain mukaiset rakennus- ja toimenpidekieltoalueet aluekohteina. Alueiden ominaisuustiedot sisältävät valtuuston päätöksen, johon kielto perustuu; voimassaoloajan päättymisen ja Maankäyttö- ja rakennuslain pykälän, johon kielto perustuu. Aineisto ylläpidetään ETRS-GK25-tasokoordinaatistossa (EPSG: 3879). Aineiston ylläpitoformaatti on SHP. Aineistoa päivitetään jatkuvasti.

  • Polttolaitosten tuhkat

    Biomassa-atlaksen tuhkatiedot perustuvat Suomen ympäristökeskuksen VAHTI-tietojärjestelmän tietoihin vuodelta 2015. Valvonta ja kuormitustietojärjestelmä VAHTI on osa Ympäristönsuojelun tietojärjestelmää (YSL 27§) ja siihen tallennetaan tietoja mm. ympäristölupavelvollisten luvista ja päästöistä vesiin ja ilmaan sekä jätteistä. Tietojärjestelmä tuottaa perustiedot valtakunnantason ympäristökuormituksesta ilmaan ja vesiin sekä jätetiedot. Biomassa-atlaksen tuhkatiedot sisältävät seuraavat VAHTI-tietojärjestelmän jakeet: 10 01 01 Pohjatuhka, kuona ja kattilatuhka lukuun ottamatta nimikkeessä 10 01 04 mainittua kattilatuhkaa (10 01 04 öljyn poltossa syntyvä lentotuhka ja kattilatuhka) 10 01 02 hiilen poltossa syntyvä lentotuhka 10 01 03 turpeen ja käsittelemättömän puun poltossa syntyvä lentotuhka 10 01 15 muu kuin nimikkeessä 10 01 14 mainittu rinnakkaispoltossa syntyvä pohjatuhka, kuona ja kattilatuhka (10 01 14 rinnakkaispoltossa syntyvä pohjatuhka, kuona ja kattilatuhka, jotka sisältävät vaarallisia aineita) 10 01 17 muu kuin nimikkeessä 10 01 16 mainittu rinnakkaispoltossa syntyvä lentotuhka (10 01 16 rinnakkaispoltossa syntyvä lentotuhka, joka sisältää vaarallisia aineita) Luokittelun perustana on Jäteasetuksen (Vna jätteistä 179/2012, liite 4) mukaiset jäteluokat (European waste code, EWC-koodi). EWC-koodin tunnusnumero on kuusinumeroinen (xx.yy.zz) koodi, jossa neljä ensimmäistä numeroa kuvaa jätteen alkuperätoimintaa ja sen alatoimialoja ja kaksi viimeistä numeroa jätteen laatua. Koodeja vastaavia nimiä on muokattu Biomassa-atlaksen käyttöliittymään sopivampaan muotoon. Numerokoodit nimien edessä vastaavat alkuperäisiä EWC-jätekoodeja.
